City & Guilds 'Ready For Anything' Tiling Level 1 Course 10 Days

City & Guilds 10 Day Tiling Course

£700 inc vat

This 10 day tiling course is ideal if you are wanting to start a career in tiling and eventually move on to gain your NVQ level 2 in Wall & Floor Tiling. The City & Guilds qualification gained from this course is excellent evidence for when you complete your NVQ.

The City & Guilds unit that will be completed on the course is below:

C&G (level 1) - 6218 Unit 119 (Developing tiling skills)

Within the 10 days you wil be shown how to prepare multiple surfaces, set out simple and complex rooms and you will tile a kitchen, bathroom and floor. More details are below.

What your 10 days will consist of:

Kitchen

Prepare the surface
Set out kitchen tiles
tile the kitchen
tile around obsticals (plugs & cupboards)
grout the kitchen
polish off
clean up to a customer standard
silicone seal along worktop
tile half way up but into the return of the window

Bathroom

Prepare the surface
Set out bathroom tiles
Work out where to batton the room
Tile the bathroom around th bathe and up to shower splash area
Tile around end curve of bath
Drill holes for shower pipes (both dry and with the diamond drill system)

Floor (depending on the individual a curved or square shower tray can be added to the floor area to make the task more demanding)

Prepare the surface
Set out floor tiles
Tile the bathroom floor area (with or without shower tray)
