City & Guilds 10 Day Joinery Course

This 10 day Joiney course is ideal if you are wanting to start a career in joinery and eventually move on to gain your NVQ level 2 in Bench Joinery. The City & Guilds qualification gained from this course is excellent evidence for when you complete your NVQ.

The two City & Guilds units that will be completed on the course are:

C&G (level 1) - 6218 Unit 102 (Developing Bench Joinery skills)

C&G (level 1) - 6218 Unit 103 (Developing Cabinet Making skills)

Once both the above units are completed then you will be awarded the below qualification:

City & Guilds 6218-02 Level 1 Award in Basic Construction Skills and the award will state you have completed the above units (developing bench joinery skills & cabinet making skills)

A brief course overview of topics covered in the 10 days:

• Complete a bench joinery project (cabinet door) incorporting bench joinery skills
• Compete mortices, tenons and grooves within City & Guilds measurements
• Construct a spice rack as a cabinet making projet
• Complete the spice rack within the City & Guilds measurements
