City & Guilds 5 Day Painting & Decorating Course

This 5 day Painting & Decorating course is ideal if you are wanting to start a career in paintng and decorating and eventually move on to gain your NVQ level 2 in painting and decorating. The City & Guilds qualification gained from this course is excellent evidence for when you complete your NVQ.

The City & Guilds unit that will be completed on the course:

C&G (Entry level 3) - 6218 Unit 008 (Introducing Paint Finishing Skills)

This is our painting and decorating course providing ten days of painting and decorating in 'real life' situatuions. A course suitable for new starts, tradespersons even entuhusiastic DIY'ers

Course content:

• Health and Safety, PPE and safe working practices
• Correct use of tools and equipment
• Preparation of new and old surfaces ready for painting and decorating
• Repairing imperfections in walls and wood ready for painting
• Application of water based products such as primers, undercoats, emulsion and eggshell using  brushes and rollers
• Application of oil based products
• Cutting around obstructions, openings, fittings such as radiators, windows and sockets
• Cutting, pasting and hanging wallpaper

You will work in your own bay with your own tools, each room will have all the aspects required to create a "real" environment .
