When do our courses run?
All our courses start on Monday mornings and finish on Friday afternoons. We have courses running every week all year round apart from a two week break over christmas.
If you have chosen your course on our website but your prefered date is not there then give us a call and we might be able to put a course on for the week you require.
Course Times:
9:00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday
Lunch Break 12 til 12.30
Do we share work space?
Each student has their own full size work bay for the week. Depending on which course you choose, you may have a Kitchen bay or bathroom bay. Each student also having their own tools to work with (provided by YTA).
Do I need special clothing?
Clothes that you don't mind getting messy. Saftey toe shoes / boots.
Do I need to bring any equipment / tools? Are there any extra charges?
No we will supply all the tools, equipment that you will require for the course. So there are no extra charges.
I'm Travelling, What about staying somewhere during my course?
We have 3 places we recommend, please see the link on the left.

Will I get a recognised qualification?
YTA is an accredited training provider with many of the top awarding bodies and can offer qualifications in many trade areas at Entry level to NVQ level 3 if required.
Most of our courses are accredited to either Level 1 or Level 2 City & Guilds. Our trainers are NVQ Assessors and we can also offer NVQ Level 2 & Level 3 in various trades.
Why would I need an NVQ or Qualification?
An unqualified tradesperson, even an outstanding one has no way of proving a skill level. The industry loses millions through unqualified cowboys and so the Qualifications such as National Awards, City & Guilds Certificates and NVQ's are recognised accross the industry by customers and employers.
Can I really take up tiling, plastering, plumbing, kitchen fiitng or joinery as a profession?
If you are prepared to put in the hard work we will give you the training to set you on your way, we can also help you with marketing yourself etc. We also provide a FREE advice line Monday to Friday to give you the backup should you require it.
How do I book a course?

We can take over the phone deposit £100 or full/part payment with no credit/debit card charge.
We can no longer accept cheques. the remaining balance can then be paid on your first day at YTA.
Come and see us
Come and have a look around, if you require to reserve a course place and date then you can pay cash or credit/debit card at YTA. You can pay a deposit followed by the full remaining balance on your course start date.
