YTA Training was formed by Graham Binns and Jonathan Binns in 2006, the company was originally called Yorkshire Tiling Academy and started out just training tiling. Graham and Jonathan were both self employed within the trade for a number of years, Graham as a former plumber and tiler and Jonathan as a tiler and plasterer but both worked together when completing full bathroom installations and large commerical projects.
Past candidates of Yorkshire Tiling Academy soon wanted to multiskill but complete their training at YTA and due to demand, in early 2007 the addition of plastering and plumbing courses were added to the course list. We decided to remain Yorkshire Tiling Academy Ltd but trade under the name YTA Training in 2009 to help advertise all our courses with the addition of Kitchen Fitting, Joinery, Painting and Decorating and in September 2009 ICT website building.
September 2010 - YTA can now offer NVQ level 2's in multiple construction trades through OSAT or EWPA (Experienced Worker Practical Assessment)
Employer of the Year
YTA won the E2E employer of the year award for the Yorkshire Region in June 2010.
