City & Guilds Weekend Painting & Decorating Course

The City & Guilds weekend Painting & Decorating course is ideal if you are wanting to start a career in paintng and decorating and eventually move on to gain your NVQ level 2 in painting and decorating. The City & Guilds qualification gained from this course is excellent evidence for when you complete your NVQ.

The City & Guilds units available are below, you are more than welcome to come in and discuss the units thouroghly before making your choice:

C&G (level 1) - 6218 Unit 112 (Developing Paint Finishing Skills)

C&G (level 1) - 6218 Unit 113 (Developing Surface preparation skills)

C&G (level 1) - 6218 Unit 114 (Developing Papering skills

NOTE: Each of the obove units will take 4 days to complete (4 days) so if you would like all three then it will take 6 weekends (12 days) and at a cost of £1350 inc vat and by completeing all three you will also recieve the City & Guilds 6218-02 Level 1 Award in Basic Construction Skills and the award will state you have completed the above units

This is our painting and decorating course providing painting and decorating in 'real life' situatuions. A course suitable for new starts, tradespersons even entuhusiastic DIY'ers

Course content:

• Health and Safety, PPE and safe working practices
• Correct use of tools and equipment
• Preparation of new and old surfaces ready for painting and decorating
• Repairing imperfections in walls and wood ready for painting
• Application of water based products such as primers, undercoats, emulsion and eggshell using  brushes and rollers
• Application of oil based products
• Cutting around obstructions, openings, fittings such as radiators, windows and sockets
• Cutting, pasting and hanging wallpaper

You will work in your own bay with your own tools, each room will have all the aspects required to create a "real" environment .
