”Fantastic training facility!” New YTA review

Thank you for such a great 5 star plumbing and bathroom tiling course review Jed!

Fantastic training facility! Having recently completed two courses with YTA (plumbing with Graham and three days bathroom tiling with Dave) I honestly can not recommend them enough. The group sizes are small, so you’re guaranteed to get a little bit of one-on-one help if you need it – and the instructors all know their stuff. There’s no time “wasted” spending day after day going through PowerPoint slides and doing paperwork, you’re straight into the practical stuff learning the basics before being shown how to put this to use in a “real” situation. They introduce you to tools, methods and equipment that your chosen course will see on a regular basis and explain it in a way that makes sense. I feel I’ve learned loads while I was there, and now I’m looking forward to putting it all into practice!

Want to get into tiling? We have both 5-day and 10-day Level 1 courses for that

With so many tiling courses shown on our site here at YTA, it’s understandable that you may feel a little overwhelmed by the choice on offer. However, if you wish to get into this line of work seriously, you could scarcely hope for a better starting point than our five-day and 10-day Level 1 courses.

There are several reasons for that. First of all, you can take on one of these tiling courses even if you do not yet possess any tiling knowledge. Secondly, these courses really can take you on the full journey to a new tiling career, so that you won’t have to worry about enrolling anywhere else.

So, why might you enrol on our five-day course?

The full name of our five-day Level 1 tiling course is the Cskills Tiling Level 1 Unit Course, which draws attention to an important aspect: it gives you a unit accreditation certificate on completion. This means if you are looking to obtain a full Level 1 qualification, you will need to sign up for our 10-day course, as we will provide more details on in a moment.

The five-day course will enable you to obtain one of two units of accreditation: the NOCN Cskills Level 1 in wall tiling or the NOCN Cskills Level 1 in floor tiling.

With such key tiling tasks as the setting out of walls and floors, surface preparation, the tiling of a kitchen splashback, bathroom wall and floor and cutting around obstacles all covered by this course, you can be confident of leaving us with sufficient knowledge to begin your tiling career in earnest.

Alternatively, join us for 10 days of learning

Why accept only going part of the route to a full Level 1 qualification in tiling? This is the question so many of those comparing tiling courses at YTA end up asking themselves, culminating in their decision to book our 10-day course.

The full qualification in question that you obtain when you complete this course will be the NOCN Cskills Level 1 Certificate in Wall and Floor Tiling. To pass, you will need to be trained and assessed across no fewer than four NOCN Cskills Level 1 units, relating to health and safety in construction trades, effective communication in construction trades, wall tiling and floor tiling.

By obtaining this qualification, you will be able to show prospective employers or customers a strong level of competence as a tiling professional from the very onset of your career in this rewarding trade.

Note too that for convenience, you are able to split this course into two separate weeks, at no extra cost compared to if you had taken on the 10-day course in one go. This gives you even fewer excuses for not committing to the complete course, provided that your other practical and financial circumstances enable you to do so.

It also couldn’t be easier to get in touch with us

Call 01274 682199 to book any of our renowned tiling courses, or to ask the questions to which you may require answers before purchasing. We would be delighted to assist you in making your desired next career step a reality!

Our tiling intensive courses give you a quick, but thorough route to a rewarding career

So, you’re sure that you have what it takes to become a tiler, and that you would find it a highly satisfying profession. But you don’t necessarily have that much time to undertake a programme of training, and would ideally like to find tiling intensive courses that enable you to cover a huge amount of ground and be ready for your new tiling career within just a few days.

Well in that case, you may be interested in our five-day intensive wall and floor tiling course here at YTA. Indeed, you don’t need to have any prior experience in tiling at all to enrol on this course. Then, once you’ve completed the course, you’ll be ready to start making a success out of your career.

We don’t merely claim this, by the way – we have the statistics to prove it. We conducted an effectiveness poll recently that showed 23 out of 30 students have set up and are now pursuing careers as self-employed tilers. That’s an astounding rate of success, given the shortness and great value for money of our course.

What’s covered in this course?

The whole point of tiling intensive courses is to drill down to the specifics within a brief space of time, and our own five-day course definitely does that.

Our course is constructed, in fact, so that it feels like a tiler’s working week. So on Monday, for instance, students focus on the health and safety basics and then get to learn how to prepare surfaces. Tuesday is focused on polishing off the previous day’s work and completing a tiled kitchen, while on Wednesday, you will get to grips with marking and cutting tiles around bathroom obstacles like basin pedestals, door architrave profiles and toilet waste pipes.

Looking to Thursday and Friday, you will be able to complete the bathroom tiling process, covering such tasks as drilling holes in tiles, full measuring and quoting, and the preparation, setting out and tiling of a bathroom floor.

Enquire now about the intensive tiling course that could change your life

There aren’t too many things that you can spend just a few hundred pounds on that could have as profoundly positive an impact on your life as our five-day intensive tiling course could have!

It’s worth bearing in mind that the above is just a fraction of the many subjects addressed by the course, with more general topics such as marketing techniques, the process of starting a business, insurance, tax and much more also being addressed.

Click through now to discover more about the full range of key areas that our highly rated five-day intensive tiling course covers. It’s just one of our many tiling intensive courses that run for five or 10 days, so don’t hesitate to browse our broader assortment of programmes or call us on 01274 682199 for more information and guidance.

Excellent reviews for Tiling, Plumbing and Kitchen Fitting courses

We’ve had a couple more excellent 5 star reviews left for our tiling, plumbing and kitchen fitting courses completed over the past few weeks. Please see the reviews below:

Daniel Doran has left a 5 star review after completing a few courses at YTA. This year he has completed the 5 day kitchen fitting course, 5 day intensive tiling course and 5 day intensive plumbing course. What is also lovely to hear is he has gone on to complete these jobs in is home saving him a few thousand pounds.

I have now completed the Kitchen fitting 5 day course. Followed by the 5 day tiling and 5 day plumbing course. All I can say is these courses are perfect for any person wanting to acquire great beginner knowledge in these trades. I booked these courses so I could undertake some work on my own property. My new kitchen and new bathroom speaks for itself. Took a little longer to undertake these jobs as I was doing the jobs for the first time and working around my current job, But the money I saved (easily a few thousand £££) more than makes it worth it. Anyone looking to get started in these trades. either for your own DIY work or to even start a career. This is the place to go. The tutors are all really helpful. Even once I finished the course, I still contacted them for more advice and help on ideas. Top quality courses Graham and the tutors provide. more than happy to recommend to everyone.

Jeff Farrow completed our 5 day intensive plumbing course and since completing he has already started work and already sent out his first invoice! He goes on to say he will be returning to YTA Training and Assessment for further training in the new year. We look forward to welcoming you back.

Finally decided to get some basic plumbing training after an enforced career change following redundancy in computing. Course was excellent, providing the basics needed to start work as a plumber. Plenty of practical work mixed with some theory and lots of good advice. I have just sent out my first invoice. I plan to do some further training in the new year and will definitely be visiting YTA to do them.

If you are considering learning a trade or adding to your existing skills then YTA offer a range of construction courses all taught by experienced ex-tradesmen in a friendly professional environment with small class sizes. To book a course you can either book online or call the centre on 01274682199. YTA is situated in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

I'll be honest when I saw the advertisement and checked the place on google, I said another course to waste time, and contrary to having judged the place, the course was above my expectations, very practical, excellent teaching, I recommend 100 % five stars.

As an unskilled landlord I felt a little exposed due to the lack of plumbers out there doing small jobs, leaking sinks, new toilet inlets etc etc. I contacted YTA to bridge that gap a bit. After 5 days, I actually feel far more comfortable and I am actually going to tackle installing a bathroom. Very good, hands on training. Can be difficult to hear whats going on at times due to all trade training going on in the same room but I would definitely recommend them. I am actually going to do joinery, kitchen fitting and plastering too within the next 12 months.

Just finished the 5 day kitchen fitting course with Paul. I had very limited skills prior to this but have learnt loads and now feel totally competent to fully fit out my mums kitchen and utility room myself. Great course with very experienced tutor. Highly recommended. I'm going to do the plumbing course next. Thanks Paul and YTA.

Can't rate this place enough. I've done plumbing, plastering, and am about to finish a joinery course. The instructors are all very skilled in their respective trades and the class sizes are small enough that you have time to go at your own pace and really learn. All the instructors are very approachable and happy to answer questions, however stupid I thought they might sound. If you're considering a course here my advice is to do it. I started with virtually no practical skill at all and after each course I'm now confident that I can put these skills to good use in my house, and what I could produce by the end of each course is much better than what I've seen some tradesmen produce. You'll be pleasantly surprised by how much you'll learn at this place, even with no prior experience.

Finished my 10 day tiling course with Gary and it was superb.Considering I'd never laid a tile prior to starting the course and then to be tiling by 10am the morning is amazing and it's a credit to him, he has confidence in the people he's training even if they don't haha. Without thinking you just do it, he guides you along swimmingly.Gary, without saying it, recognises your pace and how confident or not you are and he goes with YOUR flow which I feel is correct.

I attended a 5 day plastering course .All the instructors are great and easy to get on with. Dave the plastering instructor is a top lad .Nothing to much trouble and really helpful.I’ve already started on my own house and the course definitely gave me the basics I needed to point me in the right direction.I would recommend Dave and all the staff to anyone thinking about having a go.I’m 61 served my time as a bricklayer straight from school but I wish I’d given plastering a shot years ago.Best thing I’ve done in a long time. Also ‘Bradford Digs’ great little place to stay.Cheers to all…Andy.
