A busy start to 2019 for all courses

Its been a busy start to the year on all courses for 2019! We have had tiling, plastering, carpentry & joinery, plumbing and kitchen fitting running. Here’s a small selection of photos taken around the centre this past couple of weeks.

YTA offer a range of construction courses from 5 days to 10 day level 1 all aimed at your starting your own business. We only have small class sizes with no more than 5 or 6 students per course.

Excellent reviews for Tiling, Plumbing and Kitchen Fitting courses

We’ve had a couple more excellent 5 star reviews left for our tiling, plumbing and kitchen fitting courses completed over the past few weeks. Please see the reviews below:

Daniel Doran has left a 5 star review after completing a few courses at YTA. This year he has completed the 5 day kitchen fitting course, 5 day intensive tiling course and 5 day intensive plumbing course. What is also lovely to hear is he has gone on to complete these jobs in is home saving him a few thousand pounds.

I have now completed the Kitchen fitting 5 day course. Followed by the 5 day tiling and 5 day plumbing course. All I can say is these courses are perfect for any person wanting to acquire great beginner knowledge in these trades. I booked these courses so I could undertake some work on my own property. My new kitchen and new bathroom speaks for itself. Took a little longer to undertake these jobs as I was doing the jobs for the first time and working around my current job, But the money I saved (easily a few thousand £££) more than makes it worth it. Anyone looking to get started in these trades. either for your own DIY work or to even start a career. This is the place to go. The tutors are all really helpful. Even once I finished the course, I still contacted them for more advice and help on ideas. Top quality courses Graham and the tutors provide. more than happy to recommend to everyone.

 

Jeff Farrow completed our 5 day intensive plumbing course and since completing he has already started work and already sent out his first invoice! He goes on to say he will be returning to YTA Training and Assessment for further training in the new year. We look forward to welcoming you back.

Finally decided to get some basic plumbing training after an enforced career change following redundancy in computing. Course was excellent, providing the basics needed to start work as a plumber. Plenty of practical work mixed with some theory and lots of good advice. I have just sent out my first invoice. I plan to do some further training in the new year and will definitely be visiting YTA to do them.

December courses so far are Brickalying, plumbing, tiling and plastering

So far this December we have been teaching bricklaying, plumbing, tiling and plastering. We start again on Monday morning swapping bricklaying for carpentry and joinery. We only have 3 places remaining this year so if you fancy jumping on a last minute course give the centre a call  Monday morning. Below are a selection of photos taken over the past week and a half.

On the bricklaying course you will learn trowel skills and build a half brick wall and a block wall. Advanced bricklaying techniques such as arches and practice on a range of different brickwork bonds such as garden wall bonds are also covered. The plastering course will cover boarding up of walls and ceilings, skimming over existing plaster and also onto plaster board. You wall also plasterboard onto block work wall using board fix ‘dot and dab’ plus backing plaster method. We will also repair holes in walls and learn how to patch repair plasterwork and feather in large areas.

The plumbing course briefly covers plumbing in bathrooms, kitchens and radiators systems as well as fault finding and repair from toilet cisterns to central heating.

The tiling course starts off with you tiling a basic kitchen, then around a window half height with trims to be mitred. Then moving onto tiling a bathrooms shower area above a bath and then tiling a floor with obstacles such as a pedestal to cut tiles around along with a boxing in and doorway architraves.

All our courses are taught by experienced and qualified ex tradesmen with only low students numbers per teacher ratio. YTA is based in Bradford, West Yorkshire and is easily accessible from the M62 motorway. Just a few photos taken from around the training centre over the last couple of weeks in November. A selection showing the plumbing, tiling, plastering, carpentry & joinery, kitchen fitting and bricklaying courses in action. All courses running with low student to teacher ratios and all are ‘hands on’! We have had some lovely reviews, chocolates and thank you cards too!

Excellent 5 Star Review of our 10 day level 1 plumbing course

We’ve received an excellent 5 star review of our 10 day level 1 plumbing course, 5 day tiling course and carpentry course from a recent student.

I travelled from from London to view the centre and was so impressed by the set up and the work the students were undertaking I booked myself onto the 5 day plumbing course. The course was fantastic and exceeded my expectations so much that I then booked the second week plumbing course covering domestic hot water systems. Again the centre and staff were excellent and I then booked a third week to take advantage of their ‘4 for 3’ offer so I’ve now done the tiling and carpentry courses. All staff at Yta are so friendly and helpful and I will be recommending the courses to all my friends and family. I will definitely be returning to book more courses and that seemed to be the thinking of other students also. Fantastic training centre! I wish there was an option for more than 5 stars! They deserve it.
