PayPal Pay in 3 is subject to eligibility, PayPal approval and terms. It is a credit agreement for UK residents aged 18 or over. Availability is decided by PayPal for each application and purchase; a £3,000 basket limit is not a guaranteed personal credit allowance.
Pay in 3 on one 10-day course — no need to spend £3,000
You can apply for Pay in 3 for a single eligible course. £3,000 is the maximum eligible basket value, not a minimum spend or an amount you have to borrow. Standard 10-day trade courses and 10-day Level 1 courses can both be paid with Pay in 3 if PayPal offers and approves it.

Dates, course suitability and the free week are subject to availability and YTA confirmation. The bonus week must be taken within six months of your first course start date, subject to the offer terms.

Build a programme from four standard paid weeks: four five-day courses, two ten-day courses, or one ten-day course plus two five-day courses. For example, combine ten-day plumbing and ten-day tiling, then arrange an eligible standard five-day bonus course with YTA. Progression requirements still apply.
When an approved Pay in 3 checkout completes, PayPal pays YTA in full and you repay PayPal on its agreed schedule. You can therefore use an approved eligible Pay in 3 payment for the four paid weeks under this offer. Your free fifth week is booked manually with YTA; do not add it to your cart.
Book standard training now; add Level 1 on arrival
You can book the standard 10-day course first and decide to add Level 1 when you arrive. The Level 1 upgrade costs £400 including VAT per eligible 10-day trade course, payable separately by card or cash on arrival at the YTA training centre. This applies to our eligible tiling, plumbing, plastering and carpentry courses.
- One 10-day course: book the standard course for £1,500. If approved for Pay in 3, that is £500 at checkout and two further monthly payments of £500. If you then choose Level 1, pay the extra £400 by card or cash on arrival. Total with the upgrade: £1,900 including VAT.
- Four weeks — two standard 10-day courses: book the two courses for £3,000. If approved for Pay in 3, that is £1,000 at checkout and two further monthly payments of £1,000. If you upgrade both courses, pay £400 on arrival for each course by card or cash (£800 in upgrade fees altogether). Total with both upgrades: £3,800 including VAT. You can also upgrade just one course for £400.
The separate upgrade payment is paid in full at the centre and is not added to your existing PayPal repayment plan. If you book the £1,900 Level 1 course upfront instead, the upgrade is already included in that price and you can apply for Pay in 3 on the full £1,900. There is no second £400 upgrade fee for that same course.
The five-weeks-for-four offer still follows its existing terms. Arrange the free standard fifth week with YTA separately; qualification upgrades do not count as additional training weeks.
Kitchen fitting supplement: a kitchen-fitting bonus week has an additional £75 supplement, arranged separately with YTA under the existing offer terms: £3,000 for four standard paid weeks plus £75 for the kitchen bonus, £3,075 overall. The £75 is paid in full separately; the £3,000 order may qualify for Pay in 3, subject to approval. If kitchen fitting is one of your paid weeks, check the basket total because its higher price can take the order above £3,000. Contact YTA before booking to confirm your programme and supplements.

Can I book more than one course with Pay in 3?
Yes, an eligible basket can contain more than one course. The combined amount payable at checkout must be between £20 and £3,000, including VAT, and PayPal must offer and approve Pay in 3 for that purchase. The limit applies to the whole basket, not separately to each course.

Build a larger training programme
You can apply for Pay in 3 on an eligible order of up to £3,000 and book additional, separately priced courses in another order paid in full. This lets you plan a larger programme while spreading the cost of the eligible order, if PayPal approves it.
An order above £3,000 cannot use Pay in 3 as a part-payment facility. Our checkout does not automatically divide a larger order into a Pay in 3 payment and a separate balance. Contact YTA first so we can confirm suitable courses, dates, individual prices and any five-weeks-for-four entitlement before you make separate bookings. Approval for one PayPal purchase does not guarantee approval for another.
How to book
- Choose available dates on the course pages and add the paid courses you want. Dates marked FULL are unavailable. Check that your chosen course dates do not overlap.
- For Pay in 3, keep the eligible combined basket between £20 and £3,000. Select PayPal at checkout and sign in to your PayPal account.
- If Pay in 3 is offered, review the application, payment schedule and terms with PayPal. Approval is decided by PayPal, not YTA.
- Complete payment to confirm your paid booking. For the five-weeks-for-four offer, contact YTA to arrange the free week separately, subject to availability and confirmation.
You can also pay in full using the payment methods offered at checkout. If Pay in 3 is unavailable or declined, you can choose another available payment method. No course place is confirmed just by viewing a PayPal example or starting an application.
