Enrol on one of our Domestic Electrical Installer courses to boost your skill set

If you work in such a trade as construction, bathroom and kitchen fitting, heating installation or domestic appliance installation, it’s understandable why you may also be anxious to equip yourself with a good level of expertise in the associated field of domestic electrical installations. Sure enough, a course exists here at YTA that enables you to do precisely this, should you carry out electrical work as a secondary task in your line of employment.

That pathway is the 10-day Domestic Electrical Installer (DEI) course, which – through its combination of practical and theoretical work – gives you a comprehensive understanding of domestic electrical installations.

More than this, though, the course culminates in an industry-recognised certificate that remains valid for five years, which helps to make it an even more worthwhile investment.

Who should – or should not – sign up for this course?

It is important to emphasise that our Domestic Electrical Installer courses are designed for the needs of existing professionals working within the electrical or related industries; they are not suitable for anyone with no prior qualifications or experience as an electrician, and who wishes to become one.

Specifically, workers in the aforementioned trades whose Logic Certification Defined or Full Scope Part P certificate has or is on the verge of expiring are advised to enrol on this course, especially given that it covers all areas to have been changed or updated since the BS7671:2018 18th Edition Wiring Regulations were introduced.

What will you know as a result of obtaining your DEI certificate?

There is a wide range of areas in which you will be trained and assessed as a student of our DEI course – from component exchange and pre-work survey/inspections to how unsafe electrical situations can be identified and how cables can be installed or rerouted to form suitable outlet connections.

Along the way, those enrolled on our Domestic Electrical Installer courses also become well-versed in the applicable building regulations and electrical safety legislation regulations, standards and terminology. Such aspects as safe isolation procedures, earthing and bonding requirements, special locations, high protective conductors and the maintenance of domestic electrical installations are also all touched upon over the 10 days.

All in all, you could scarcely hope for more territory to be covered by a single course dedicated to the needs of domestic electrical installers. Assessment methods used, meanwhile, include observed practical tasks alongside multiple choice and short written response and scenario questions.

Do you have any further questions about the suitability of our Domestic Electrical Installer courses for you? If so, the YTA team is available to take your call; just phone 01274 682199 for all of the information you’ll need to make your choice.

Benefit from the perfect mix of practical and theory on our 10-day DEI course

There are a lot of reasons why you may be interested in our Domestic Electrical Installer training and assessment package. One of them may simply be the fact that you already work in a related trade such as heating installation, kitchen and bathroom fitting or construction, and wish to upgrade your expertise in the field of domestic electrical installation.

We also receive enquiries about this 10-day course from those whose LOGIC Certification Defined or Full Scope Part P certificate has or is about to expire, in which case, it is recommended for the purposes of their Continuous Professional Development (CPD) that they enrol on this course.

How, though, can you be sure that this DEI package will cover all of the ground needed to give you a confident understanding of how a domestic electrical installation works – including all of the areas that have been updated or altered since BS7671:2018 the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations was introduced?

The simple answer to this is that the course represents nothing less than a highly comprehensive Domestic Electrical Installer training and assessment package, embracing both practical and theory elements. Indeed, the final certificate that you will receive is an industry-recognised qualification that remains valid for five years, making it a well worthwhile investment in your career.

The most thorough training and assessment for prospective domestic electrical installers

This DEI course will assess you using a variety of methods, encompassing not only observed practical tasks, but also multiple choice, short written response and scenario questions.

However, it may well be the sheer breadth of areas covered by this Domestic Electrical Installer training and assessment package that best demonstrates why so many people attend the course.

With such areas as component exchange, applicable building regulations, electrical safety legislation, electrical test procedures, high protective conductors and more covered over the 10 days, there’s no reason for you to look elsewhere for a DEI course.

When you consider this far-reaching coverage alongside such other aspects of our course as the very large electrical training bays that we provide and the fact that we limit each course to four students, you should soon sense why we have such a strong reputation for the highest-quality tuition.

Call the YTA team now on 01274 682199, and we can answer any lingering questions that you may have about the suitability of this highly rated Domestic Electrical Installer training and assessment package for your most specific needs.

New 5 Star Google Review for YTA Training

A new 5 star google review for YTA has just been received. Jon spent several weeks at our training centre completing a few different courses. Tiling, plumbing, carpentry & joinery and kitchen fitting. Read the review below:

Cannot recommend this place enough…recently completed 2 weeks carpentry & joinery along with 2 weeks plumbing followed by a week of kitchen fitting course and tiling. The tutors are a real asset, the centre itself is well equipped and teaches you what you need to know to start off along with some inside trade tips. I recommend this to all starting out property developers out there or even Tradies wanted to branch out.

Thank you for the superb review Jon. Much appreciated. If you would like to read more independent reviews of YTA Training then you can also visit www.reviews.co.uk, our average score is 5 out of 5!

Would you like to gain a greater understanding of your home’s electrics?

We all depend heavily on the electrical systems in our homes, but if you work principally in a related trade – such as heating installation, bathroom and kitchen fitting or the installation of domestic appliances – you may not feel that your expertise in electrics is at quite the level it should be.

This helps to explain why so many professionals and homeowners like you look up Domestic Electrical Installer courses – and here at YTA, we have the ideal 10-day course that will enable you to become better-versed in home electrics.

Who is this course actually for?

Domestic Electrical Installer courses are also sometimes referred to as DEI courses; either way, the main principle behind them is the same. They allow people working within the electrical or related industries to upgrade their knowhow in electrics, which may be especially important for those who need to carry out electrical work as a secondary task.

But of course, it may also simply be the case that you wish to take on a course like this to boost your capabilities whenever you find yourself concerned about the electrics in your own home.

The important thing to emphasise is that this course is not for people with no electrical or related qualifications or experience, and who wish to become electricians. If you are at all uncertain about the suitability of our Domestic Electrical Installer courses for your own needs, you are welcome to call the YTA team at any time, on 01274 682199, for further guidance.

You’ll be trained and assessed in a wide range of areas

With domestic electrical installation being the highly specialised field that it is, you shouldn’t be surprised to learn that our own DEI training and assessment package touches on a broad assortment of aspects of this vital and sensitive work.

Those aspects encompass component exchange, applicable building regulations, electrical safety regulations, earthing and bonding requirements, electrical test procedures, the installation and replacement of electrical components and fittings, and much more.

Furthermore, as a student with us, you’ll be helped to learn what you need to learn by our small class sizes – only four students being allowed onto each course – and large electrical training bays.

The training and assessment process itself combines practical with theoretical elements, and if you satisfy the standards, you will be presented with the industry-recognised DEI certificate that will remain valid for five years.

Secure your place now on our next DEI course

Our Domestic Electrical Installer courses only run once every few months, so if you see a start date advertised on our website that works especially well for you, we would advise you to book it before all of the remaining spaces are gone.

As the UK’s leading construction training and assessment centre, with an average rating of 4.95/5 on Reviews.co.uk, we’re the company to which to turn for your DEI certificate!

For the complete Domestic Electrical Installer training and assessment package, turn to YTA

As one of the UK’s most respected construction training and assessment centres here at YTA, we’re very mindful of the fact that if you are seeking to enrol on a course like those we provide, you may well be investing a significant amount of money to do so. You will therefore only wish to receive training that is absolutely relevant to your needs, and not pay for any training that isn’t.

This is why it is so vital for us to make clear exactly who our Domestic Electrical Installer training and assessment package is for, and who it isn’t for.

It is not for those who have never before worked in the trades and who therefore wish to be trained in electrical work ‘from the ground up’; instead, it is geared to the requirements of people with prior experience of working in the electrical or related industries.

So, when we say that our Domestic Electrical Installer training and assessment package is ‘complete’, precisely how complete is it for those of you who undertake electrical work as a secondary task and wish to upgrade your skills in this crucial area?

The perfect mix of well-judged practical and theoretical elements

You may enrol on this course with few firm ambitions other than to better understand your own home’s electrical systems. Alternatively, you might wish to become a domestic electrical installer, adding to your existing capabilities as a builder, domestic appliance fitter, bathroom and kitchen fitter or heating installer.

Whatever your exact situation, you can look forward to an excellent mix of practical and theory tasks, as well as your own very large electrical training bay at our premises. It’s the ideal combination for ensuring you don’t merely receive good-quality teaching, but also learn through doing, culminating in the award of the industry-recognised Domestic Electrical Installer certificate that expires after five years.

We will train and assess you in a broad range of aspects of domestic electrical work when you take on this course – encompassing component exchange, applicable building regulations, electrical safety legislation, pre-work inspections, earthing and bonding requirements, how to identify unsafe electrical situations, and many more.

Only limited places remain, so book yours now!

While our Domestic Electrical Installer training and assessment package is a both thorough and targeted one – with the various assessment methods including multiple choice, short written response and scenario questions and observed practical tasks – it is precisely because of this that it is an in-demand pathway, too.

We only run this course once every few months, and limit student places to four at a time. That means you can certainly expect a lot of close attention when you join us – but it should also compel you to act fast to secure your place.

You can do just that by calling the YTA team today, on 01274 682199. Together, we’ll help to ensure you leave us with the comprehensive knowhow of domestic electrical installations that will empower you to realise your ambitions.
