The aim of the 2 day worktop course will be to fit a worktop professionally. You will use a router and worktop jig to create the worktop ‘masons mitre’ fitment into a corner area. You will also cut out for a kitchen sink and fit the kitchen sink.

You will use tools such as:
Router

Circular saw
Jigsaw
Square
Clamps
And other joiners tools to create a professional finish.

You will use professional kitchen fitting tools form jig saws, circular saws and routers. You will be shown every aspect of setting up each tool along with handy tips along the way on how to use the tools for different materials.

Great YTA Kitchen Fitting Course Review

Another great review once again following the completion of a YTA Training and Assessment 5 day kitchen fitting course.

Craig MacGarvie – 5 Star Kitchen Fitting Course Review

I recently undertook a kitchen fitting course with Lawrence Booth. The course was excellent and I learned a lot. Lawrence was also a great teacher and talked me through each step. I will be back to do the plumbing course at some point! Thanks again.

Thank you Craig for the fantastic review following the 5 day course. Lawrence is a fantastic teacher who loves to share his extensive knowledge on kitchen fitting, carpentry & joinery. We look forward to seeing you back with us at YTA for the plumbing course Craig.

On the 5 day intensive kitchen fitting course you will learn how to design a kitchen to the room provided and what types of cupboards and units are available to suit a variety of designs to suit a customers specification. Base units will need to be levelled on a and planned to a design along with hanging the wall units and fitting the extractor hood. You will use professional kitchen fitting tools form jig saws, circular saws and routers. You will be shown every aspect of setting up each tool along with handy tips along the way on how to use the tools for different materials.

Excellent review following completion of multiple courses at YTA

Course information updated October 2026: The reviews and photographs below describe training at the time of publication. Our five-day practical plumbing course is non-accredited and includes a YTA completion certificate. The ten-day Level 1 plumbing route offers the full Level 1 Award in Preparation for Plumbing Operations, subject to successful assessment. See the current course pages for prices and dates.

Another excellent 5 star review has been left on Google reviews following the completion of multiple courses at YTA. Allan traveled down for several weeks from Scotland whilst completing a variety of construction courses at YTA Training And Assessment in Bradford, West Yorkshire

Allan spent 5 weeks training with YTA in 10 days Plastering, 10 days Wall and Floor Tiling and 5 days Plumbing. He also opted to ‘bolt on’ the Cskills level 1 certificate qualifications in the tiling and plastering courses along with the Ascentis level 1 Award in Plumbing. Following the completion of the courses Allan is now set up and working for himself and he has left us a lovely review.

Please ready below:

OUTSTANDING.. From the first phone call to enquire about the availability of courses till completion of 5 weeks of training. Graham the owner was extremely helpful and knowledgable enabling me to pick the correct courses suitable to my needs..I traveled from Scotland a 4 hour drive and stayed in the b&b recommended by Graham ( model farm) a 5 minute drive from the training centre… £150 for 5 nights with a huge choice of breakfast options that kept you going throughout the day… although there is similar training courses available in Scotland after careful research I am glad to say it was well worth the travelling to YTA for value for money, in-depth hands on training and the fantastic instructors at the various courses.. I completed 2 weeks Tiling 2 weeks plastering and 1 week plumbing all with the level 1 qualification. The instructors… Lyndon, thank you so much for your help and guidance through the plumbing course I really couldn’t of done it without your knowledge patience and basically general down to earth attitude really top top man…also picked up invaluable tips for Tiling from yourself aswell, thank you mate…Dave, again went above and beyond to help, I really enjoyed the plastering and am now out working for myself which I wouldn’t of been able to do without Daves expertise, learned so much in 2 weeks from Dave and have been back in touch with him seeking advice which Dave has duly given . If your looking at doing a plastering course look no further Dave will put you in the right direction…. Lawrence, although I didn’t actually have Lawrence as an instructor he was always there to give advice and guidance another top bloke.. Anyone looking for diy skills or as I was seeking, a complete change in occupation YTA is the place to go without doubt, well worth the travelling… Graham, Dave, Lyndon and Lawerence thank you….

Thank you for the great review Allan, it was a pleasure having you with us for all those weeks and we are glad you enjoyed your time with us. Remember to keep in touch and let us know how you get on, if you are ever back down in Bradford be sure to pop in for a brew!

More 5 star reviews of YTA Training!

At YTA we love hearing your your reviews and we’ve just received two more fantastic ones, keep them coming in!

Chris Highley – Completed 10 day tiling, 5 day plumbing and 5 day plastering courses.

Absolute pleasure to work with. I have sat the full 10 day tiling course follows by a 5day plumbing course and also a 5 day plastering course. The tutors are all down to earth and easy to get along with, they make sure to keep assisting if and when required, the skills you’ll learn are more than just basic necessities but more so the skills, tips and tricks that only years of experience can bring. Everyone is more than welcome to explain queries in depth. I’m more than looking forward to return and complete the kitchen fitting course next. Can not recommended YTA as a whole enough!!

YTA: Many thanks for such a lovely 5 star review Chris. We look forward to see on the Kitchen Fitting course.

Tony Pemberton – Completed level 1 Award in Plumbing 10 day course.

Great course content. Great instructors. Nice relaxed learning environment. Lyndon, my instructor, pushed me enough to challenge me but not too much as to overwhelm me. I feel confident I can put into practice what I was taught. Would recommend this training centre to anyone I know. Thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

YTA: Thank you for a great 5 star review Tony. Glad you enjoyed your time training with us on the plumbing course.

April and May photos taken around the YTA training centre.

A small selection of photos from two very busy months, April and May. All courses have been running, bricklaying, plumbing, tiling, plastering, kitchen fitting, carpentry & joinery. A little late posting April photos but better late than never! Some great work from total beginners.
