Excellent Multiple Courses YTA Review.

We have received an excellent multiple courses YTA review from an ex student after completing several courses. Nigel completed Tiling, Carpentry, Plumbing, Plastering, Bricklaying and Kitchen Fitting courses at YTA over several weeks and has since completed various projects including installing 3 bathrooms whilst renovating his properties as a landlord and is now completing his second kitchen installation. Nigel Hammond YTA review

I attended a suite of YTA courses including Tiling, Carpentry, Plumbing, Plastering, Bricklaying and Kitchen Fitting. I was a novice, working in IT, with little more experience than the odd DIY job. I have used all the training as a landlord, renovating a few properties. I’ve installed 3 bathrooms (includes all appliances , tiling, and flooring), and I’m currently installing my 2nd kitchen (again involving plenty of plumbing, tiling, woodwork etc). As well as numerous other DIY tasks, around the place. I understand this would be a small fortune to pay tradespeople to do. I’ve done it myself, thanks to skills and confidence developed as a result of attending YTA courses, instructed by the excellent tutors Lorry, Dave, and Graham. I also gained a great deal of knowledge surrounded by industry trades people, also cross-training across disciplines. A very helpful perspective. I’ve plenty to learn in maintaining properties, but I think its helpful to get a good grounding in what is a multi-discipline/skill set of tasks. Many thanks to tutors and course colleagues.I recommend to anyone who wants to have a go and do a good job, and some might say, professional.

Brilliant! I did the 5 day plumbing course, it was great fun and so informative! Lyndon was a great teacher but all the guys are dead friendly and helpful too. Had a fab group to work with, so it was really relaxed and helpful to work things out together and look at each other’s work. 5 Day Intense Plumbing Course – Awesome, its as simple as that. Excellent trainer (Lyndon), excellent course content, having never plumbed before, the course gave you the confidence and skills to achieve amazing results. Our plumbing courses run every week and we offer a few options from a 1 day taster course to 5 and 10 day level 1 plumbing courses.

December courses so far are Brickalying, plumbing, tiling and plastering

So far this December we have been teaching bricklaying, plumbing, tiling and plastering. We start again on Monday morning swapping bricklaying for carpentry and joinery. We only have 3 places remaining this year so if you fancy jumping on a last minute course give the centre a call  Monday morning. Below are a selection of photos taken over the past week and a half.

On the bricklaying course you will learn trowel skills and build a half brick wall and a block wall. Advanced bricklaying techniques such as arches and practice on a range of different brickwork bonds such as garden wall bonds are also covered. The plastering course will cover boarding up of walls and ceilings, skimming over existing plaster and also onto plaster board. You wall also plasterboard onto block work wall using board fix ‘dot and dab’ plus backing plaster method. We will also repair holes in walls and learn how to patch repair plasterwork and feather in large areas.

The plumbing course briefly covers plumbing in bathrooms, kitchens and radiators systems as well as fault finding and repair from toilet cisterns to central heating.

The tiling course starts off with you tiling a basic kitchen, then around a window half height with trims to be mitred. Then moving onto tiling a bathrooms shower area above a bath and then tiling a floor with obstacles such as a pedestal to cut tiles around along with a boxing in and doorway architraves.

All our courses are taught by experienced and qualified ex tradesmen with only low students numbers per teacher ratio. YTA is based in Bradford, West Yorkshire and is easily accessible from the M62 motorway. We’ve had another lovely 5 star review of our 10 day plumbing course. Kieran who is now the third employee to be sent us from a reputable building maintenance company covering all of Yorkshire.

Great people, make you feel welcomed and they know what they are doing great set of lads will advise you to go to YTA have a pack on Buenos with you they all love them

5 Star YTA Reviews keep coming in from our 5 day intensive plumbing course with 3 brilliant reviews left recently from the course students. The YTA plumbing courses are very hands on and aimed at you leaving the course with the skills and knowledge to start completing plumbing projects. Some students leave and only want to tackle the smaller jobs to start with such as replacing a tap washer, fixing a leaky pipe or trap but others leave and jump straight into replacing bathroom suites and radiator systems. Many of our students go on to start their own plumbing businesses and then return to add more skills to their portfolio such as tiling, plastering and joinery courses to help bolster their earning potential.

I would highly recommend the courses at YTA training. I did the plumbing course and it was brilliant. I also had a look round at what the others were getting upto and all looked really impressive. Roger Stackhouse – Plumbing course 5 star review September 2018

I attended the course as a novice, now I feel confident to tackle most plumbing jobs. The course is very relaxed and well presented. There are no restrictions on supplies if you make a mistake go and help yourself to the pipe and connectors. They do not try and sell any tools but will advise on the best tools to buy. I received my certificate at the end of the course and the offer of any phone advise should I need any help on a job, what more do you want. Excellent.

 

The plumbing course runs most weeks as it is one of our most popular courses. Prices start at £90 for a 1 day plumbing taster course where you can learn how to solder or even plumb in a kitchen sink. The 5 and 10 day courses go into more detail and you will be installing bathrooms and radiator systems. We also offer a nationally accredited level 1 plumbing qualification which can help gain employment following albeit most students prefer to start working as a self employed plumber.
