5 Star YTA Reviews keep coming in from our 5 day intensive plumbing course with 3 brilliant reviews left recently from the course students. The YTA plumbing courses are very hands on and aimed at you leaving the course with the skills and knowledge to start completing plumbing projects. Some students leave and only want to tackle the smaller jobs to start with such as replacing a tap washer, fixing a leaky pipe or trap but others leave and jump straight into replacing bathroom suites and radiator systems. Many of our students go on to start their own plumbing businesses and then return to add more skills to their portfolio such as tiling, plastering and joinery courses to help bolster their earning potential.

The course is beneficial to anyone who wants to improve their skills and knowledge in domestic plumbing. l am 66 with no experience of plumbing and went home, installed a new toilet and repaired a seized up tap in my son’s home.The teacher explained and demonstrated very well and I would recommend this course ???? I would highly recommend the courses at YTA training. I did the plumbing course and it was brilliant. I also had a look round at what the others were getting upto and all looked really impressive. The other lads said how good their courses were. I will return back to do other courses as you learn so much and it’s all hands on ( no classroom work ). As well as learning lots, it was a good laugh. Don’t hesitate to give Lyndon and the others some banter!! They love it. Thanks Lyndon for such a great week and teaching me so much in a week. Roger Stackhouse – Plumbing course 5 star review September 2018

I attended the course as a novice, now I feel confident to tackle most plumbing jobs. The course is very relaxed and well presented. There are no restrictions on supplies if you make a mistake go and help yourself to the pipe and connectors. They do not try and sell any tools but will advise on the best tools to buy. I received my certificate at the end of the course and the offer of any phone advise should I need any help on a job, what more do you want. Excellent.

 

The plumbing course runs most weeks as it is one of our most popular courses. Prices start at £90 for a 1 day plumbing taster course where you can learn how to solder or even plumb in a kitchen sink. The 5 and 10 day courses go into more detail and you will be installing bathrooms and radiator systems. We also offer a nationally accredited level 1 plumbing qualification which can help gain employment following albeit most students prefer to start working as a self employed plumber. Such a life changing place I’ve done the joinery, plumbing, plastering and tiling courses and I wish I’d have done them years ago it really has changed everything business has never been better. Graham, Dave and Lawrence are excellent instructors they take the time to properly show and explain everything it’s not rushed like other places a very relaxed place to freshen up existing skills or learn new ones I really do recommend YTA to anyone thanks fellas.

I did the 10 day carpentry and joinery course and I can recommend it. There was lots learnt over the 2 weeks and it is a good starter course for access to the industry. Relaxed feel to the training centre and a good, knowledgeable instructor.

Lawrence who teaches the carpentry and joinery courses has over 35 years experience in the trade and we only ever have 4 students on the carpentry and joinery courses to ensure you will get the most out of all our courses when attending YTA. The courses run every week so you are never far away from accessing a course and learn a trade. The Cskills level 1 courses are nationally recognised qualifications and recognised within the the industry. The Cskills level 1 certificate courses are also accepted as part of the CSCS card scheme to gain a RED CSCS card if a CSCS card test has already been achieved. Once you have three years experience behind you as a carpenter or joinery then you can then apply for the NVQ level 2 in Site Carpentry or the NVQ level 2 in Bench Joinery, both of which we offer here at YTA. A recent review ”I would recommend this course to anyone…” says it all really!

Another fantastic 5 star review from a candidate that has just completed the 5 day intensive plumbing course. Ian was sent on the plumbing course through work with another of his colleague that was also equally impressed. They both attend many courses in their line work (local council / government) and on the last day of the course they said it was one of the best they had been on, if not the best. 5 day plumbing course,It’s one of the better course’s I’ve been on. I now feel confident enough to be able to solder pipes and walk away knowing they wont be leaking. Great guys doing the training, Lyndon who does the plumbing and Lawrence who does joinery have both been on the tools and they know their stuff,they also passed a few tricks of the trade on,your never to old to learn something new. Relaxed atmosphere and not a lot of classroom work more practical work which is what you need in my opinion. I would recommend this course to anyone thinking of doing it, I learnt a lot.

New 5 Star Review of YTA Training and Assessment – 10 Day Intensive Plastering Course

A great 5 out of 5 star review has been left on Facebook. Rob has just completed the 10 day intensive plastering course and looking at his review he thoroughly enjoyed his time at YTA and will be back to book more courses! We always strive to help all our students achieve the most from their time at YTA but we can also have some fun along the way which makes it much more enjoyable to learn for most us.

Just completed the 10 day plastering course. As someone who has spent 10 years sat in an office with minimal hands on experience the YTA assessors were amazing, motivating, and bloody hilarious.

I can honestly say I’ve come away with the practical knowledge and confidence to get on the road and into the trade.

If your in 2 minds, agree with the one that says do it! You won’t regret it and I will be seeing them soon for further courses!

New 5 Star Review of YTA Training and Assessment – Cskills Level 2 NVQ in Site Carpentry EWPA

A superb recent 5 star review from Micheal Manning who has recently completed his NVQ level 2 in Site Carpentry. Micheal is an experienced carpenter and joiner that needed to gain the NVQ level 2 in Carpentry so he could gain the blue ‘skilled worker’ CSCS card. The EWPA (Experienced Worker Practical Assessment) is the quickest route to gaining the NVQ if you have over 5 years experience as a carpenter & joiner. The EWPA route for the NVQ level 2 takes just one full day at our centre and we run the assessments predominantly at weekends.

The assessment went well, the trainers and the assessors were great, they make you feel at ease and can not do enough for you, the centre itself is fully kitted out and very professional, I would recommend this company to anyone, 10 out of 10.

The EWPA is a NVQ assessment route enabling an experienced worker to achieve their NVQ level 2 in their relevant trade through a practical assessment. By using your skills acquired over the years to complete a task in our NVQ Centre (usually 1 day) which is then assessed. This qualification is the one required to attain the blue skilled worker CSCS card and gain construction site work.

We offer the EWPA route for the below trades:

NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Wall and Floor Tiling
NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying
NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry
NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Plastering

We also offer NVQ level 2 assessments for more trades through the OSAT (On Site Assessment & Training) and you must have a minimum of 3 years experience for this route of assessment.
