Excellent 5 Star Review of our 10 day level 1 plumbing course

We’ve received an excellent 5 star review of our 10 day level 1 plumbing course, 5 day tiling course and carpentry course from a recent student.

I travelled from from London to view the centre and was so impressed by the set up and the work the students were undertaking I booked myself onto the 5 day plumbing course. The course was fantastic and exceeded my expectations so much that I then booked the second week plumbing course covering domestic hot water systems. Again the centre and staff were excellent and I then booked a third week to take advantage of their ‘4 for 3’ offer so I’ve now done the tiling and carpentry courses. All staff at Yta are so friendly and helpful and I will be recommending the courses to all my friends and family. I will definitely be returning to book more courses and that seemed to be the thinking of other students also. Fantastic training centre! I wish there was an option for more than 5 stars! They deserve it.

Thank you Mohammad for such a lovely review.

5 Star YTA Reviews keep coming in from our 5 day intensive plumbing course

Course information updated October 2026: The reviews and photographs below describe training at the time of publication. Our five-day practical plumbing course is non-accredited and includes a YTA completion certificate. The ten-day Level 1 plumbing route offers the full Level 1 Award in Preparation for Plumbing Operations, subject to successful assessment. See the current course pages for prices and dates.

5 Star YTA Reviews keep coming in from our 5 day intensive plumbing course with 3 brilliant reviews left recently from the course students. The YTA plumbing courses are very hands on and aimed at you leaving the course with the skills and knowledge to start completing plumbing projects. Some students leave and only want to tackle the smaller jobs to start with such as replacing a tap washer, fixing a leaky pipe or trap but others leave and jump straight into replacing bathroom suites and radiator systems. Many of our students go on to start their own plumbing businesses and then return to add more skills to their portfolio such as tiling, plastering and joinery courses to help bolster their earning potential.

Here we have a few great 5 star reviews that have been left recently after completing the 5 day plumbing courses.

Matthew Riley – Plumbing course 5 star review October 2018

The course is beneficial to anyone who wants to improve their skills and knowledge in domestic plumbing. l am 66 with no experience of plumbing and went home, installed a new toilet and repaired a seized up tap in my son’s home. The teacher explained and demonstrated very well and I would recommend this course ???? Matt Riley

Jamie Bridgett – Plumbing course 5 star review September 2018

I would highly recommend the courses at YTA training. I did the plumbing course and it was brilliant. I also had a look round at what the others were getting upto and all looked really impressive. The other lads said how good their courses were. I will return back to do other courses as you learn so much and it’s all hands on ( no classroom work ). As well as learning lots, it was a good laugh. Don’t hesitate to give Lyndon and the others some banter!! They love it. Thanks Lyndon for such a great week and teaching me so much in a week. I couldn’t of asked for anymore!! Top man and a pleasure to meet. See you again soon guys

Roger Stackhouse – Plumbing course 5 star review September 2018

I attended the course as a novice, now I feel confident to tackle most plumbing jobs. The course is very relaxed and well presented. There are no restrictions on supplies if you make a mistake go and help yourself to the pipe and connectors. They do not try and sell any tools but will advise on the best tools to buy. I received my certificate at the end of the course and the offer of any phone advise should I need any help on a job, what more do you want. Excellent.

The plumbing course runs most weeks as it is one of our most popular courses. Prices start at £200 for a 1 day plumbing taster course where you can learn how to solder or even plumb in a kitchen sink. The 5 and 10 day courses go into more detail and you will be installing bathrooms and radiator systems. We also offer a nationally accredited level 1 plumbing qualification which can help gain employment following albeit most students prefer to start working as a self employed plumber. If you would like to enquire about any of our plumbing courses then our website has full details HERE.

If you would like some guidance on choosing a plumbing course then please do not hesitate to contact the training centre on 01274682199 or call in to have a look around and we will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

5 Star YTA Review – Level 1 Carpentry and Joinery Course

Another 5 star YTA review for our 10 day Cskills level 1 Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery course.  Please read below:

I did the 10 day carpentry and joinery course and I can recommend it. There was lots learnt over the 2 weeks and it is a good starter course for access to the industry. Relaxed feel to the training centre and a good, knowledgeable instructor.

Thank you Jamie for a great 5 star review. For more reviews please visit reviews.co.uk

Lawrence who teaches the carpentry and joinery courses has over 35 years experience in the trade and we only ever have 4 students on the carpentry and joinery courses to ensure you will get the most out of all our courses when attending YTA. The courses run every week so you are never far away from accessing a course and learn a trade. The Cskills level 1 courses are nationally recognised qualifications and recognised within the the industry. The Cskills level 1 certificate courses are also accepted as part of the CSCS card scheme to gain a RED CSCS card if a CSCS card test has already been achieved. Once you have three years experience behind you as a carpenter or joinery then you can then apply for the NVQ level 2 in Site Carpentry or the NVQ level 2 in Bench Joinery, both of which we offer here at YTA. New 5 Star Review of YTA Training and Assessment – Cskills Level 2 NVQ in Site Carpentry EWPA

A superb recent 5 star review from Micheal Manning who has recently completed his NVQ level 2 in Site Carpentry. Micheal is an experienced carpenter and joiner that needed to gain the NVQ level 2 in Carpentry so he could gain the blue ‘skilled worker’ CSCS card. The EWPA (Experienced Worker Practical Assessment) is the quickest route to gaining the NVQ if you have over 5 years experience as a carpenter & joiner. The EWPA route for the NVQ level 2 takes just one full day at our centre and we run the assessments predominantly at weekends.

The assessment went well, the trainers and the assessors were great, they make you feel at ease and can not do enough for you, the centre itself is fully kitted out and very professional, I would recommend this company to anyone, 10 out of 10.

Fantastic review Michael, 10 out of 10. Thank you from the YTA Team.

The EWPA is a NVQ assessment route enabling an experienced worker to achieve their NVQ level 2 in their relevant trade through a practical assessment. By using your skills acquired over the years to complete a task in our NVQ Centre (usually 1 day) which is then assessed. This qualification is the one required to attain the blue skilled worker CSCS card and gain construction site work.

We offer the EWPA route for the below trades:

NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Wall and Floor Tiling
NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying
NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry
NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Plastering

We also offer NVQ level 2 assessments for more trades through the OSAT (On Site Assessment & Training) and you must have a minimum of 3 years experience for this route of assessment.
