Plumbing Course – Video Review by Darren Clarke

We have had our first plumbing course video review! Darren Clarke, a gas fitter from Liverpool attended our 10 day plumbing level 1 plumbing course and here is his mid-course review after completing the first 5 days.

Whats Covered on the plumbing course:

The first 5 days will see you working with copper pipe and fixings, plumbing in a bathroom, a small 3 radiator system including thermostatic radiator valves, understanding different heating systems, plumbing in a kitchen sink including waste pipes plus plenty of fault finding and repair work throughout the week.

Darrens 10 day level 1 plumbing course was cut short due to COVID-19 but he will be returning for the second week (advanced plumbing course) at a later date.

Just finished 5 day of my 10 day plumbing course being a gas fitter not a plumber this course helped me massively learnt so much looking forward to the next 5 days met some great lads Graham is a top guy with plenty knowledge GREAT PLACE GREAT PEOPLE good place to learn or to get you back in to doing your own property work will be back to do my 5 days as soon as this situation calms down and will be back to do Electrician course may thanks guys

Had the best experience on the plumbing course, this is coming from a man who hasn’t attended a course in 20 years or so, so I was very nervous… Had the best tutors Graham & Lyndon who made the whole experience both enjoyable and very informative at the same time.. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to step out of their comfort zone and change direction in life I’ve learned so much these last 2 weeks thanks to all involved x

2 day kitchen worktop course review

Another 5 star review following the completion of the YTA 2 day kitchen worktop course.

My names Paul Proudman, I am so glad I chose YTA Training to do a 2 day worktop course. A really well planned and thought out course. So relaxed and great trainers who made me feel so welcome. I am definitely booking onto other courses. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

The aim of the 2 day worktop course will be to fit a worktop professionally. You will use a router and worktop jig to create the worktop ‘masons mitre’ fitment into a corner area. You will also cut out for a kitchen sink and fit the kitchen sink.

Hottest day of the year BBQ followed by a lovely 5 star review

Thursday 25th July 2019 was the hottest July day on record with temperatures reaching 38.1C. That week at YTA we had a variety of courses running, it was very hot and everyone was suffering in the heat whilst trying to learn a new skill. Tiling, plumbing, kitchen fitting, carpentry and joinery courses were all running but it was the plasterers that were really suffering. Mixing plaster, up and down ‘hop ups’, back and forth to their mix and skimming their walls and ceilings. It was getting sweaty!

As staff we tried keeping everyone going with cool water, we stocked up on supplies they day before as the 24th was still quite a warm day too. We decided that there was only one thing for it, a BBQ! Let’s just do it and grab a few disposable BBQ’s from ASDA over the road, several packs of burgers and sausages and a load of ice lollies. Spirits were definitely lifted and it was a much needed enjoyable lunch hour where we all made the most of the superb weather.

We then received a lovely review from Marc and Josh who travelled up from South Wales following their plastering course.

Had an absolutely fantastic time at the YTA training centre. I went with my brother in law to do the plastering course and they went above and beyond to ensure our confidence and skills were up there before we left. Dave knows his craft, a great instructor and he certainly brought the best out of both of us. The atmosphere was incredible, met some great people and made some good friends. Graham the owner and all of the team members were the nicest people we’ve ever met, he went out to get supplies for a bbq and kept us in good spirits with ice creams due to the crazy weather, you won’t get that anywhere else! I would highly recommend this training centre if you’re looking to learn a new skill or skills. Thanks to Graham and Dave for an incredible experience Marc & Josh

Many thanks for the lovely review Marc, glad you and Josh both enjoyed the course. There was no way we couldn’t have a BBQ and Ice lollies on the hottest day of the year wether you are learning how to plaster or not! I think everyone on all the courses appreciated it too. Hope the plastering goes well and we may well see you back for a tiling course in the future when you are ready.
